We will have a half day excursion in Parma, the city that guards the secret of the renowned ham and the parmigiano reggiano cheese.
We will enter a cheese workshop and the cheese master will teach us how to prepare the parmigiano. It will be astonishing to see the high racks where the cheese ripens until the right moment.
Alternatively there is the possibility to visit a ham workshop, to enter in its fresh and perfumed cellars. Generally these are small family businesses where the members of the family take care of every step of the production.
After that we will visit the city center: the old Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Teatro Regio and theĀ Teatro Farnese, the monument of Giuseppe Verdi and the house of Arturo Toscanini.
